PrEP is approved for teens
& supportive adults can help teens access resources!
Navigating healthcare can be difficult for anyone. PrEP4Teens is designed and guided by teens to provide a youth-centered resource for information on PrEP for HIV prevention, sexual health and wellness (and beyond!). While PrEP4Teens is curated by and for teens and young adults, we enthusiastically encourage adults who care about youth health and well-being to learn more about PrEP for HIV prevention and more to support the agency and power of young people.

What is PrEP?
PrEP is actually a generic term that stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. In the context of HIV, PrEP refers to safe and effective prescription drugs that can be taken by people who are HIV-negative to prevent getting infected with HIV. Read about the different types of PrEP (including oral pills and injectables/shots) and other FAQs asked by teens.
