ALMA Creates x PrEP4Teens

Get ready! PrEP4Teens is collaborating with ALMA Creates and our old friend David Gauna on a brand new program that YOU can be involved with!

This 6-week program will give all eligible youth that complete it the chance to grow their skills and knowledge in PrEP, arts, and advocacy... in addition to a $500 honorarium. Applications are NOW CLOSED. Thank you for your interest!

ALMA Creates x PrEP4Teens is a comprehensive six-week youth art fellowship designed for Latino/a/e/x LGBTQIA+ artists aged 17 to 24. The program aims to foster individual artistic skills, promote community building, and connect art to advocacy. Participants receive personalized mentoring, participate in workshops, gain new insights into LGBTQIA+ history and related artistic and cultural expression, learn about PrEP in the context of sexual health and holistic wellness and collaborate on a culminating art piece that is showcased at the program's end. Additionally, the youth artists present their work and engage in a panel discussion, sharing their creative processes and exploring the significance of art as a tool for advocacy. The program encourages applications from artists working in various art categories including but not limited to:

• Dance / Singing

• Performance

• Poetry / Writing

• Fashion

• Visual Painter/Drawer/ Sculpting

• Graphic Design / Illustration

• Photography / Videography
